Bio
Tom Ole Elgsaas is an Norwegian conductor, experienced in a wide variety of ensemble and repertoar. He has already conducted several of the leading symfoni orchestras and army band in Norway, and had been invited to the danish army band Slesvigske Musikkorps several times.
Sins 2020 he has regular conducted at the Opera in Kristiansund. Here he has among other things bin the assistant conducting for the productions of die Czardasfyrstin and Il Trovatore during the spring of 2023. He has also hade his own production such as the children’s play, Little red ridignhood with music by xxx.
Elgsaas studiet conducting at the University of Stavanger, and the Royal college of music in Stockholm With theathcehr Bjarte Engeset and Peter Szilvay. After a audition with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra he was chosen as a participant in the Norwegian conducting forum. Thru his participant here, and several international masterclasses he has had the opportunity to conduct several profesjonell orchestras such as Trondheim Symfoniorkester and Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester. He was also one of the 4 finalist in the audition for the assistant conductor position in the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the spring of 2022 he was awarded «best Norwegian contestant» in Princess Astrids International Conductingcompetition in Trondheim.
